MARINE PRODUCTS // RADIO COMMUNICATION - SATELLITE EPIRB RJ302A

The EPIRB is a ship-mounted satellite emergency position indicator radio beacon. It transmits a distress signal for at least 48 hours on the 406.025 and 121.5 MHz bands when it is either thrown into the sea, or is released by the auto-release mechanism in the event of the ship sinking. The 406.025 MHz distress signal is relayed to a local user terminal (LUT) by the COSPAS/SARSAT satellite station and provides position information of the EPIRB. The LUT sends the information to a rescue coordination center, which initiates a full rescue effort. Search and rescue operations by vessels and aircraft commence immediately. The RJ302A also contains a 121.5 MHz homing transmitter as standard equipment.
Two frequencies : 406MHz and 121.5MHz.
Small size, lightweight, easy to install.
Simple construction and various test support functions mean easy maintenance.
Corrosion-resistant, deterioration-resistant construction (exposure of metal parts is minimized).
Strong, flexible antenna which withstands wind, vibration, etc.
