Overview
The RU230A-B two-way radio telephone is designed for use in lifesaving operations at sea. When a ship is in distress and the crew escapes to a lifeboat, the radio telephone is used for two-way communication between the ship in distress and the lifeboats, between one lifeboat and another, and between the lifeboat and rescue boats. The Ru230A-B radio telephone incorporates CH15, CH16, andCH17 for internationally established 150 MHz-band maritime mobile services.
In addition, it allows ninety-six more frequencies within 156,025 MHz to 157,425 MHz to be preset. Therefore it can not only be used for 150 MHz-band onboard communication, but can also be used for ship-to-ship communication.
